Thoughts to begin the day

Sunday morning…when most people are sleeping…I’m awake…not sure why…but that is just how it is.


Early mornings are the best…it is quiet…peaceful…the birds are singing…and the sun is getting ready to give us another “best in show”  days…


Fall is a magical time of the year.  An opportunity to reveal how change is always upon us…in with the new…out with the old…and colors blend together no matter what!


We are excited as we have been accepted into a new store location.  You can find in 3 locations…and we are also open to custom orders.


The Treehugger’s Tree Farm and Gift Store just outside Thorndale is a beautiful store filled to the brim with goodies from local artisans and growers.  They also have an awesome  selection of Christmas trees soon to be available.


The Village Collective in Sparta is another gorgeous shop.  It has a very welcoming feel as soon as you step through the door.  It has a stunning selection of locally crafted treasures.


Gregarious Cravings in Exeter is a perfect stop…get your eats and treats…and do some shopping as well.  A very tasty selection of homemade goodness…and a wonderful array of handmade talents.


These 3 shops are great destinations to add to your travels…each one is unique and there is something for everyone.  Food…gifts..and that something perfect just for you.

I’m new to blogging…so please    ” bear :) ”  with me….


Here is a quick easy recipe to help you pass the time while on the computer….or pack in your lunch….


3 cups large flake oatmeal (not instant)

1 cup dried cranberries

1 cup chocolate chips

Mix together in a large steel bowl (or a heat proof bowl)


In larger sauce pan, on low heat, stir until smooth

3 cups peanut butter

1 tbsp coconut oil **optional**

2/3 cup liquid honey

Remove from heat and pour over oatmeal mixture.  Stir until well combined and pour into a parchment paper lined pan (I use a 9 X 11 as we like a bit thicker square)

Smooth out top and place in fridge to let set (usually overnight) …  Cut into whatever size bars you like and enjoy
